Jelani McMath is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with
adults and couples navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship
challenges, and life transitions. She is trained in Dialectical
Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping clients develop emotional regulation,
mindfulness, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness
skills. She is also trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), a
trauma-focused approach that helps clients process distressing
experiences. Additionally, she has completed Level 1 and Level 2
training in the Gottman Method, which informs her work with couples to
strengthen communication, deepen connection, and navigate relationship
challenges.

Jelani's therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate, and
collaborative. She strives to create a space where clients feel heard,
accepted, and understood without judgment. She believes therapy is not
about fixing what is wrong with you, but about understanding yourself,
developing new ways to cope, and creating lasting change.

Jelani works with clients ages 18 and older, both virtually and in person.

Insurances Accepted: Aetna, Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield,
Out-of-Network Benefits, and Self-Pay.
